Physiotherapy

Reduces pain, improves movement, in muscles, joints and tendons.

What is a Physiotherapist?

Physiotherapists are experts in developing and maintaining people’s ability to move and function throughout their lives. We have an advanced understanding of how the body moves and what keeps it from moving well and use this knowledge to help people of all ages to improve their wellness, mobility and independence.

What can physiotherapy treat?

We work with people affected by a wide range of conditions and symptoms that effect the joints, muscles and tendons, such as neck and back pain, arthritis, osteoporosis and joint replacements.

Problems may be caused by a variety of reasons including illness, disability and disease, ageing, long periods of inactivity, sport injuries or work related accidents.

We have physios at Bradley Stoke Physio & Health with special interests including treating people with jaw pain, and problems with dizziness and balance.

For more information on what we can treat at Bradley Stoke Physio & Health take a look at our Services.

How does physiotherapy work?

Each patient is treated as an individual and is thoroughly assessed to identify their specific needs. Physiotherapy treatments at Bradley Stoke Physio & Health may include:

  • Massage
  • Mobilisation and manipulation of the joints and soft tissue
  • Muscle imbalance and stability work
  • Personal rehabilitation exercise programmes
  • Gait analysis
  • Manual therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Electrotherapy (including ultrasound and/or transcutaneous nerve stimulation)

We aim to restore your confidence in your abilities after your injury or illness. We can also advise on how best to stop your pain coming back or your injury from happening again.

Both before and after my two total hip replacements the treatment has been superb and the continuing support and hard work of the team has ensured that I am more mobile and physically active than I have been for years.
