Therapeutic Yoga Courses
Our restorative Therapeutic Yoga courses and 1-to-1 sessions are run by our Yoga practitioner and physiotherapist, Louise Dodds.
Yoga therapy blends yoga techniques with your therapists approach to healing.
Who is Therapeutic Yoga for?
As Therapeutic Yoga at Bradley Stoke Physio & Health are led by an experienced Physiotherapist, it can be safely and effectively enjoyed by most people. Your Yoga Therapist, Louise, will adapt the yoga poses, breathing and meditative techniques to suit your objectives and ability.
Therapeutic Yoga can help to address a variety of conditions including low back pain, stiffness and pain in the joints, high blood pressure, depression, stress and anxiety, RSI, digestive problems, asthma, headaches and migraine, and low energy levels.
How will I benefit from Therapeutic Yoga?
Attending a Therapeutic Yoga course at Bradley Stoke Physio & Health will allow you a focused opportunity to develop your core stability, mobility and flexibility in your joints, strength, and awareness of your own body and how it reacts to the way you use it. To find out if therapeutic yoga is suitable for you please contact the clinic and book a 1:1 with Louise.
As it’s a course, you’ll build your understanding about your body and reconnect with it over a number of weeks in order to improve own ability to look after your body and be rid of pain, have more freedom of movement and reduce stress.
How does Therapeutic Yoga work?
The meditation, stretching and hands-on healing aims to restore, relax and strengthen you in body and mind. As it’s Therapeutic Yoga, the course delivered is modified to your level and pace so you get as much benefit from it as possible.
See our Therapeutic Yoga page for more details of how it works.
