Physio for Children – Paediatric Physiotherapy
See your child grow in confidence and happiness as they become more independent
What is a Children’s Physiotherapist?
Our Children’s (Paediatric) Physiotherapist, Leila knows that treatment of physical conditions can have an impact on mental wellbeing so she takes a very holistic approach to treating your child. Taking your child’s physical and mental wellbeing together, she will adapt the treatment as your child changes and grows, at all times seeking to help your child fulfil their potential.
What conditions can Physio for Children treat?
Leila provides physiotherapy and support to babies, children and young people with the following conditions:
- Neuro-developmental conditions/syndromes
- Neuro muscular conditions
- Cerebral Palsy
- Developmental delay or late walking
- Any problems of movement, coordination or posture
- Pre and post Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) surgery
- Acquired brain injury
- Head turn preference/torticollis
How does Physio for Children work?
The paediatric sessions are very much based around having fun and Leila works hard to develop a strong rapport with your child so they respond to treatment faster. Using a mixture of exercises, games, and stretching, she will support your child as they build up strength and control in their muscles and movements. You’ll start to see your child enjoy becoming more independent as they grow in confidence.
See our Children’s Movement service for more information about how you and your child could benefit from working with Leila.
