Whether you are suffering from pain in your lower back, upper back or your neck, our Neck and Back Pain Service ensures we’ll pair you with a therapist who is very much experienced in treating your condition.

Treatment in your first session
Right from your very first appointment your therapist will aim to reduce your pain and start getting you ‘back to normal’. This means in your very first session with us, as well as a consultation with your therapist to assess your condition, you’ll receive treatment for, and advice on how to manage, your pain.

You’ll also leave your first session with a plan of action and knowing what needs to be done in order to make you better.

What type of Neck and Back Pain do we treat?
In a nutshell, our qualified and experienced therapists are able to treat or offer advice to just about everyone who comes to our clinic with:

  • Neck pain
  • Lower back pain
  • Upper back pain

Most people are troubled with neck or back pain at some time in their lives. Your pain could be due to injury, it might have been there for a while, or might have come on suddenly.

You might already know what is causing your pain – common conditions we treat include lumbago, sciatica, whiplash, slipped or prolapsed discs, and arthritis. Neck and back pain can also be caused by stress and anxiety.

However, your neck and back is such an elaborate system of bones, muscles, nerves and joints, that you might not know what in particular caused your pain. Our therapists can help you to manage your pain whatever might be causing your symptoms.

How do you know if you need us?
It’s a good idea to seek help with pain if it comes on suddenly, or is getting in the way of you living your normal life. Even if you’re managing to live with your pain, you might prefer to receive treatment from one of our therapists as it can help you recover more quickly.

If you’re not sure if you need our help yet, try these simple steps to see if they help your recovery first:

  • Take painkillers
  • Stay as active as possible – bed rest is not advised as movement will help you recover quicker
  • Use heat or ice on the area in which you feel pain.

If you aren’t then able to return to normal activities after a few days, you know it’s a good idea to make an appointment with us.

Did you know you don’t need to have seen your GP first, or to have a referral, to make an appointment with us? If you’re in pain, pick up the phone and make an appointment today. We can assess and treat symptoms that may concern you such as headaches, pins and needles, dizziness or balance problems. We will say if we can’t treat you, and recommend an alternative course of action for you.

However, you should see your GP first if you’re unable to sleep, bladder or bowel problems, disturbed vision and severe weakness would mean that you should seek help from your GP.

How much will it cost?
Cost will depend on the type of therapy and for how long you would like to receive treatment. A price list can be found here, or browse the therapies we use to treat Neck and Back Pain using the links to the right where you’ll find the associated costs at the bottom of each respective page.
