What is a Workplace Assessment?
In a nutshell, a Workplace Assessment can lead to the resolution of real problems that affect the day to day activities of you and your team and lead to increased productivity, workplace happiness, and less time off work.
Essentially it's a review of the demands of your job, what you need to do your job, and where and how you go about doing your job. The results of a Workplace Assessment can benefit your health and safety while you're in your workplace.
What can a Workplace Assessment do for me?
If you're affected by aches, pains or niggles, headaches or eye strain, or you'd like to know if your workplace environment could be improved to help you be more productive, then a Workplace Assessment is a good idea.
Our Workplace Assessors combine their physiotherapy experience with their ergonomic and 'human factor' expertise to:
- Identify and resolve what may be causing your pain
- Suggest improvements that can be made to your working environment to help you do your job better and be more comfortable while at work
- Suggest ways of reducing the potential for injury, accident, or ill health.
How does a Workplace Assessment work?
We'll come to your place of work so we can evaluate you and your colleagues while you're working. We'll watch you and talk to you to find out what you do and how you do it.
On the day of our visit we'll help you to resolve as many problems as possible, should we spot any. This might involve making small changes to your workspace (layout of equipment, for example), or sharing advice on task design, lifting, and so on to help you avoid accidents or ill health. We will also demonstrate relevant physiotherapy exercises if we can see you or your colleagues would benefit given any specific personal situations.
We'll follow our visit up with a written report so you'll have a record of our findings and recommendations, and we'll be available for any follow up discussions you may like to have with us.
