Hugh retires at the end of March

We say a fond farewell to Hugh Vickers, our Osteopath – he retires at the end of March, having worked with us at the clinic for seven years.

We can’t imagine for one moment that retirement will mean days off and down time – Hugh is interested in so many things, it is hard to keep up with him!

Indeed, it’s his curiosity and the fact that he ‘sees’ people, not just what is in front of him, that has made him such a good Osteopath and colleague. As his patients will understand, Hugh is the type of person who, in the words of Shakespeare, always ‘finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything’. His resulting insight, good humour, patience, and wit, not to mention his depth of clinical experience, is what we shall miss about Hugh.

Hugh, although you hand the reins here over to Hannah, you are irreplaceable. All the team here at the Bradley Stoke Physio & Health clinic wish you warmly and all the very best in your retirement.

Hugh’s patients and anyone who knows him through Bradley Stoke Physio & Health are very welcome to join us in wishing Hugh well in his new ventures. Feel free to email your message to, pop into the clinic here in Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre, or post on our Facebook page.
